Senior Profile: Courtney Tinkham

 

Courtney is from Colby, Kansas, and has graduated with a Bachelor of Science in both Secondary Education and Health and Human Performance, as well as earning a Health Education Certificate.

Courtney graduated Magna Cum Laude and is a proud first generation student. She plans to remain in Hays for the time and continue working as a Behavioral Health Technician at Camber KVC (aka Camber Children's Mental Health) and hopes to teach in the fall. 

She will be spending time studying for endorsement tests but in her free time she enjoys running, tennis, Bible study, hanging out with friends, and spending time at home in Colby. She also hopes to travel to Costa Rica next summer with the Teacher Education department. 

Courtney says her dream job is to be a comedian, but says she's isn't funny. (But we know she's pretty funny!) 

She sends out "A HUGE THANK YOU to KATHAY and KEVIN. Without them, I would not be here at FHSU", and we're so glad she is! 

Courtney was a huge support in the Honors College, serving as both a peer mentor and as student staff. She has a passion for getting people involved and she will certainly have an amazing time as a teacher. 

She's very excited to see where the future leads and we wish her the best of luck!
