Abby Stewart is from Emporia, Kansas and will graduate with her degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry.
Abby has excelled, from start to finish--literally, as a track athlete as well as in her academics, and she has the accolades to show for it:
- 2x All-MIAA performer - 2021 Outdoor (10,000m), 2019 XC (19th)
- Earned 7 team points at the MIAA Championships in her career
- 2x USTFCCCA All-Academic Award - 2019 XC, 2018 XC
- 7x MIAA Academic Excellence Award for maintaining a perfect 4.00 GPA (2021 Outdoor, 2021 Indoor, 2020-21 XC, 2020 Outdoor, 2020 Indoor, 2019 XC, 2018-19 Newcomer)
- 2x MIAA Scholar-Athlete Award (2021 Outdoor, 2019 XC)
- 7x MIAA Academic Honor Roll (2021 Outdoor, 2021 Indoor, 2020-21 XC, 2020 Outdoor, 2020 Indoor, 2019 XC, 2018-19 Newcomer)
- 2x D2ADA Academic Achievement Award (2020-21, 2019-20)
She says, "my family, my friends and my professors have always been extremely supportive of me during my college career and helped me through the ups and downs of college and I am very thankful for their support these past four years."
Abby will be attending the Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine starting this fall and we know she's going to do an amazing job! There are always up and downs but she never seems to waver and always gets the job done. Congrats Abby!
